If you like to travel more by train and you want to travel from Bangalore to Ooty then you have to book a train from Bangalore to Mettupalayam, later you can catch the Nilgiris Mountains Railway from Mettupalayam to Ooty or Coonoor and also it same in the case of Chennai,

You have to book a train from Chennai to Mettupalayam followed by Toy Train Of Nilgiris mountains. If you want another option you can choose to Coimbatore Railway station,
